Purple eye look

So I have done this look a couple of times now and I really like it!

I use these two palettes, my makeup revolution salvation palette ‘what you waiting for’ and my sleek eye and cheek palette in the colour ‘see you at midnight’

So to begin with I used my no7 Stay Perfect Smoothing Eyeshadow in the colour nude, in my opinion, it didn’t do much but works as a good eye primer.

I then use the lightest matte colour in my makeup revolution palette to lighten the eyes.

Next, I apply the purple colour from the sleek palette and apply it in the crease of the eye.

It’s then time to blend!

I then apply the purple colour on the outer half of the eye and blend it again!

The final couple of steps are getting the dark colour next to the purple and create a wing effect, I also get a small brush and put some of the dark colour on the lower lash line.

Finally I take the gold colour and with the small applicator that comes in the palette I push it on the inner part of the lid and just quickly blend it with the purple to create more of a transition.

All that’s left to do is add some mascara and this is the finished look:

Travel eyeshadow palette

I found this eyeshadow palette in wilko quite a few months ago before I went on holiday to London, I thought it would be easier to travel with as normal eyeshadow palettes are quite bulky and a hassle to take with you, unfortunately I misplaced it before I went away so took my usual make up revolution palette. However, I recently found it and realised how good and pigmented it is! Even without an eye primer.

I like to begin by using the lighter brown shade on the bottom left all over the base for a bit of colour on the lid. I then use the dark brown colour in the crease for definition and contouring of the eye and blend it. The dark brown also creates a smokey effect which is the name of the palette. I then go ahead and use the lighter right hand colour in the inner corner of the eye. I actually apply this using the little applicator you get with it, the other shades I apply using real techniques make up brushes.

Swatches with just one swipe!

As I am writing this blog, I realise that the palette has instructions on how to apply the eyeshadow so I shall try that out and take a photo and try how I do it and take a picture and see how different they look 🙂

Here we go, the results on the left hand side is the way the palette tells you to apply it and on the right is how I normally do my make up, I think they are quite different looks, but I prefer the more natural looking side

I feel like this eyeshadow has good pigmentation for £2.50 however there is a lot of fall out so just keep that in mind if you do your eyes after foundation.
